The Big Picture
Myself and 3form founder Stef Lewandowski produced the backend and frontend for The Big Picture — a concept Stef pitched to Audiences Central to promote photography in the West Midlands. With just the two of us working on the development, we were able to adopt an agile process and I was also able to dive in and out of a range of technologies, from Google Maps to Wordpress.
The entire system is built around Flickr and as a result features a scalable system for aggregating photos tagged appropriately. Other features include “Click-geocoding” and flash visualisations like the Coverflow view on the homepage, all of which make for a great user experience.
